&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;Presented by Soumaya Trad, Barrister, Lachlan Macquarie Chambers&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;Soumaya Trad was called to the bar in 2024. Prior to coming to the bar, Soumaya was admitted as a solicitor in 2014, practising at Legal Aid and private practice in Western Sydney. At the bar, Soumaya accepts briefs in family law, care and protection, child representative and criminal law matters.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 18px;"&gt;In this &lt;strong&gt;interactive&lt;/strong&gt; CLE, Soumaya outlined tips, tricks and pitfalls for effective cross examination skills that can be applied across varied practice areas. Soumaya's presentation aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the objects and foundations of effective cross examination, techniques for effective preparation and execution, common pitfalls and tips for tackling the unexpected and difficult witnesses.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
